We are a children and youth charity based at The Art Block in Acton Park, providing free open-access activities for children aged from 8 - 17 years of age.

A.P.P.L.E. is extremely sad to announce that on the 21st December 2025 Deborah Catesby passed away.
Deb was a founding member of A.P.P.L.E. and a dedicated supporter throughout. She gave us our name which stuck from day 1. As Chair she was committed, questioning and demanding. She expected the very best of all of us. Deb always had a genuine interest in everyone she met at A.P.P.L.E. She offered encouragement and support, particularly to the young people, and continuously offered fresh ideas from fundraising to individual projects.
Her unique leadership and steadfast support are irreplaceable. She is loved and will be missed.
In recognition of Deborah Catesby’s dedicated support for the arts, the family have asked for donations to be made in her honour to go to A.P.P.L.E. and in particular, our Arts and Creative Activities Programme.
Many of our young people who have participated in our Arts and Creative Activities Programme, have gone on to work in creative industries. One hard working and enterprising young woman found herself working on the set of a project featuring Deb’s son, Kit, unaware of the connection with A.P.P.L.E.
Support towards this project is a fitting tribute to Deb’s dedication to our charity.
